Volumetric mixers were not seen much in Mid Wales until we started in the summer of 2024 but after making many thousands of m3 of our quality concrete for many of the leading builders and groundworkers in the area we have many regular customers that keep coming back to us for more.
We only use virgin material from local quarries and hence we can ensure the consistency of the mixes compared to using cheaper recycled material which many of our competitors use as it is cheaper. Our lorries are calibrated regularly by consultants who have also created our mix designs. We also regularly cube test our concrete to ensure you are getting the mix design strength you have ordered.
We cover a 30 mile radius of our yard in Buttington near Welshpool but could go further than this if required.

Well first of all you won’t over or under order again and have the costs associated with this as you only pay for what you use. How many times have you been slightly short on a concrete delivery and then had a large cost for the make up load, well this is the a thing of the past as most of the time our lorries will have more materials on the lorry.
Reduced waste – making it easier to keep costs down
As the concrete is mixed fresh on site it gives you longer to work with it.
You can have many different mixes on the same delivery, You could have a C25 footing mix and then a C35 mix for a small slab and a weaker mix for kerbs all from the same delivery as we can adjust the settings to produce the desired concrete design.
With our 3 lorries we can do sizeable pours, but if you have a very large project we can actually get all the materials delivered to your site and leave one of our lorries on your site constantly mixing and being loaded at the same time.
Volumetric mixers are also more sustainable as we dont have to go back to the yard after every delivery if we have a number of small deliveries in the same area we can go from one site direct to the next.
